Abstract

This text will try to unveil the sounds within the poetry of António Ramos Rosa: poet of simple and earth-bounded words, aspiring to touch the deep, cosmic truth. On attempting to hear the music in his words, we will inevitably establish meaningful relationships between poetry and music – an organic bondage that has existed since the beginning of language. With his words, Ramos Rosa establishes pure links between nature and reality in such a way that can take us back to the primitive and cosmic silence, the primitive and cosmic Truth. Attaining the pure essence of words within the core of completeness is conquered with the simplicity of an erotic ritual of sounds
piercing through his poems.
