Abstract

Fragmentary writing crosses all genres and is built upon subversion of meaning. This writing space appears to be confined to historical moments of rupture and it bears
witness of a crisis of the literary as an institution. The fragmentary displays the singularity of all writing as well as an emphasis on the contemporary, as opposed to the dynamics of canonization implicit in literature.
