Os teclados e «Opus 78»: um diálogo literário-musical

Abstract

The present article presents a comparative analysis of the texts Os teclados and «Opus 78», by the Portuguese authors Teolinda Gersão and Manuel de Freitas, respectively. The studied texts can be related as to aspects regarding directly the musical universe, both in the structure plan or in the sensorial plan. The established relations between the two texts have focused on the common elements, such as the metalinguistic dimension, the silence and the use of processes akin to the musical creation, which bear evidence of dialogues serving to posit music as a fundamental element for the construction of both.
