Abstract

This article aims to analyze some chronicles by the Angolan writer Ana Paula Tavares from the standpoint of memory. We have attempted to pinpoint the characteristics of the chronicle as a genre, as made evident in the author’s texts, and discuss the ways in which circumstantial language, apart from poetic words, is also able to create lyrically infused images.
