Abstract

The writer Hélia Correia, through her work Montedemo, shows us a woman who suffers a metamorphosis and changes from femme fragile to femme fatale. This transformation is due to the strength which emanates from the centre of Montedemo, because a supernatural indetermination makes it the place of moral
unquietness, the souls’ misfortune - the mount of the devil. And it’s in this nature that Milena, the main character, gives herself to the pleasures of the flesh, is fertilized and transforms into a sensual and erotic woman.
