A fragilidade feminina na poesia lírica de Cecília Meireles

Abstract

Cecília Meireles is a woman with a rare and delicate soul. As the “pequena flor” (“small flower”) of her poem, part of her book Vaga Música, published in 1942, Cecília Meireles also received “uma chuva enorme” (“pouring rain”) – related to the losses that she suffered in life – and preserved the perfume of her poetry. I analyze the feminine sensitivity in “Pequena Flor”, while taking a look at fragility in its relation to existential anguish and at the mystery of existence, which is related to the mystery of poetic creation itself.
