Abstract

This text presents reflections and it shares some experiences about teaching short stories in Portuguese Language in Asian contexts of teaching Portuguese as a foreign language (PLE). It summarizes the state of art of teaching Portuguese-language literatures in People’s Republic of China; it points out some gains in teaching and learning short story in PLE classes; it suggests some short stories and authors for an intermediate / advanced level of Portuguese learning and it presents the results of a pedagogical-didactic experience with PLE students, in order to study brief narratives.
