New electronic traditions and old vanguard breaks in Mexican Twitterature

Abstract

The artistic and literary practices in Internet have achieved, in addition to consolidating a fragmented aesthetic, the ambitious avant-garde project of dematerialization of the work of art. New electronic creations reflect a different logic from the textual reality of the book-object: the logic of access or distribution practiced by many of the artists on social networks. In this paper I will focus on two of the most interesting creations in the Mexican “Twitterature” because of the success and ingenious of its professional and amateur practitioners: the #Amalgamas and palindromes.
