Creón, Creón. The dystopian Antigone by Rodríguez Pampín

In the 1950s, Galician literature began to show signs of recovery after having practically disappeared during the Spanish Civil War (1936-39). The efforts of the Galaxia publishing house, founded in 1950 by a group of Galician anti-Francoists, to translate texts from the European avant-garde and the Ribadavia Theatre Exhibitions encouraged the creation of dramatic texts by authors who had not previously cultivated the genre. This is the case of Rodríguez Pampín, who in 1975 published his first play, Creón, Creón, a futurist rewriting of Antígona, which we will analyse in this paper.
