After a brief introduction about the way Angolan literature has been related to the traditional aspect of its heritage, the article studies a fable by Luandino Vieira entitled Kiombokiadimuka e a liberdade, relating it with a popular tale collected by Héli Chatelain and with Aesop’s fables.
