Os contos de Monteiro Lobato: peculiaridades de um projecto literário de mestiçagem

Abstract

Bearing in mind Monteiro Lobatos dissimilar images in the Brazilian intellectual milieu, we will show how, throughout his life, he epitomized both a new and a revolutionary literary project which he has developed according to three spheres of intervention: the composition of short stories, his activity in a publishing house, and the creation of a children's literature in Portuguese.
