O monstro-barão, a bela-adormecida e a rosa mística
Abstract
In this paper we suggest a mystical reading of Branquinho da Fonseca’s short story, O Barão, attempting to underline the various tensions intersecting it. The author succeeds in disclosing man’s grotesque and animal nature, so that he can be uplifted to the beauty of goodness or to the goodness of beauty.
