Eu Vim para Ver a Terra, de Maria Ondina Braga: a construção do mundo pela crónica
Abstract
Deriving from the chronicler’s stay in three of the former Portuguese colonies, this book translates the worldview she experienced first-hand into descriptive and poetically inclined chronicles, by focusing almost exclusively on natural and physical space. This article aims to show how different spaces trigger different impressions on the writer and looks into the procedures she used when verbalizing them.
