Abstract

This article presents a research on theater and politics in Portuguese-speaking countries: Brazil and Portugal. The historical context is the 1960s and 70s, the time when these countries endured a powerful censorship in various socio-cultural sectors, including literature and art. The corpus consists of two exemplarities: Gota d’água (Chico Buarque and Paulo Pontes) and Os Degraus (Augusto Sobral).
