Job e a comédia do sofrimento em A Serious Man (2009), dos irmãos Coen

Resumo
O filme A Serious Man/Um homem sério (2009), de Joel e Ethan Coen, pode ser interpretado como uma paródia engenhosa e irreverente ao Livro de Job. No espírito da intertextualidade exoliterária e dos estudos comparatistas, o meu objetivo é estabelecer semelhanças, diferen- ças e relações entre a parábola bíblica e esta película. Analisarei as categorias narrativas do tempo e do espaço, a figura do protagonista, os principais eventos e a mensagem. Para tanto, recorro a entrevistas concedidas pelos irmãos Coen, a ensaios de cinéfilos e de teólogos e, naturalmente, à teoria da intertextualidade.
