Abstract

No dia 21 de Março de 1980, há 30 anos, nascia, formalmente, o Núcleo de Espeleologia da Associação Académica da Universidade de Aveiro. Fruto do empenho de um grupo de pessoas, o NEUA nunca mais parou. Recordamos hoje os fundadores do NEUA e os primeiros tempos de vida deste núcleo, contados, aqui, na primeira pessoa. João Pupo e Fausto Carvalho falam das peripécias das primeiras explorações, das dificuldades dos primórdios do NEUA e do reconhecimento científico do trabalho do núcleo, revelando, também, as suas expectativas para o futuro.
