The creative use of 3D printing technology: different printing materials and application opportunities

Abstract

This article intends to explore the creative use of the different materials in the existing 3D printing technology, applied to the development of projects of different scopes. Based on the recognition of the existence of different materials that serve
as a basis for three-dimensional printers, the purpose of the study is to collect such diversity in use today, together with exploration and reflection on topics related to the impacts of such technology in its area of Application, under the theoretical contribu- tion of authors of the area of creativity and innovation. In this way, it may be appli- cable in the most diverse areas of knowledge; Plastics, biomaterials, ceramics and metals are some examples of materials that can be used by such equipment. Thus, exploring such usefulness of this versatility is a highlight of the study.
