Author Guidelines

Submission of texts

 

Originals (in word and pdf format) must:

 

-be submitted by 30 September each year (for publication in the following year's journal), via the email address dlc-agora@ua.pt or the platform https://proa.ua.pt/index.php/agora/about/submissions ("Submissions" section), in two files: word and pdf), together with the declaration indicated in the section "About the journal" ;

-conform to the journal's themes;

-comply with the journal's rules, as well as the rules for the presentation and formatting of texts;

-safeguard the rights of any images used.

 

 Formatting the text

  1. a) Header with the following information:

- title in the language of the article and in English;

- name(s) of the author(s);

- name of the institution with which the author(s) is associated;

- institutional e-mail address;

- ORCID ID;

 

  1. b) abstract in the language of the article and in English (up to 150 words / about

1000 characters with spaces);

  1. c) keywords in the language of the article and in English (six);
  2. d) graphic layout (A4 format):
  3. e) bibliographical references at the end of the article (obligatory);
  4. f) for Greek characters, use a UNICODE font;

Submission Preparation Checklist

All submissions must meet the following requirements.

  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.
