Women vs Women. The denunciation of female sex by female characters in drama

Abstract

Depreciative views of women expressed by men are often found both in tragedies and comedies. However, there are cases where women speak ill of their own sex. The examination of this issue reveals that such cases occur within plays in which admonition with regard to gender segregation and gender roles is of importance.
