In this paper, we refer to the library catalogue of António Nunes Ribeiro Sanches (1699-1783), a new Christian, a physician, and a modern estrangeirado, seeking to disclose fields of interest, scientific and otherwise, in the context of his times and highlight the modernity of the themes we encountered. Simultaneously, we aim to highlight the influences arising from his familiarity with João Jacinto de Magalhães (1722-1790), a scientist, instrumentalist and publicizer of British scientific works which he presented to his friend in Paris.
