The article proposes some modifications and improvements to the system of representation of syntactic relations in Ancient Greek presented in 1985 by Carlos Schrader. The aim is to incorporate, as far as possible, the most remarkable results achieved in the last decades by functionalist grammar (proposition and enunciation level, together with that of predication) and also by cognitive grammar, applied especially to some of the most remarkable features of Thucydides’ prose.
