The link between memory and loci, coming from classical mnemonic techniques, develops in the lyrical field in interesting spatial metaphors. In this paper we analyse poems belonging to the Hispanic poetry of the Golden Age in which memory and forgetting manifest some of the main considerations of the arts of memory, although in this context memory and forgetting constitute themes and not resources. The aim of this study is to propose a succinct inventory of the locative metaphors in which memory crystallises in Hispanic golden poetry.
