In Antigone Voilée by Francis Ôst (2009), the Labadoui, a Muslim family, live in Paris. Antigone is now named Aïcha and she is informed by her sister Yasmina, whom she meets in the school playground, that their brothers have been involved in a major accident. This misfortune is interpreted in different and irreconcilable ways by both Aïcha and the school board. The young girl will soon express her rebellion and the press is correspondingly hasty in doing its job. We will reflect on the role played by mass media in society, considering the fuzzy boundaries of spaces.
