In the history of the Greek Philosophy, myth and logos are commonly understood as two disconnected fields of the human life: the former, as expression of the archaic thought and the latter as the source of rationality. The aim of this paper is to reflect about this reductive point of view and its impacts on the development of the western thought. Heraclitus (VI-V b. C) and Eudoro de Sousa (1911-1987) will be the main authors used in this exploration, drawing from their ideas of unity of opposites, logos as a factor of harmonization for the contraries and complementarity.
