Plínio e a sombra tutelar de Cícero
Keywords:
Cicero, Pliny the Younger, otium and negotium, Letters and immortality
Abstract
This article seeks to evoke Cicero's life and work through the life and work of Pliny the Younger, a deep admirer of the Arpinate. The comparison will focus on three components of each author's work (poetry, oratory and epistolography) against the background of two (almost) parallel lives and the passion they both share for the
studia humanitatis.
